Add More fruit And Vegetables to Your Diet




Easy ways to eat more fruit and veggies!

  • Eat a cup of fruit for breakfast and or your mid morning snack.
  • Have a cup of vegetables, salad, or vegetable soup with your lunch.
  • Have a salad at least once a day.(small amount of light dressing).
  • Have frozen and canned veggies on hand at all times.
  • Fill at least a third of your grocery cart in the produce section.
  • Take fresh fruit to work with you for snacks.
  • Get the salad instead of the fries at Micky-D's.
  • Make half of your meal veggies.
  • When cooking out grill some veggies.

Most of us should be eating around 4 cups of fruit and vegetables daily. Beware of sugar in dried fruit.

Read the calories on the nutrition label. String beans have 2/3 less calories than lima beans.
